For the Dough:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Water as needed
- 1 tbsp oil
For the Filling:
- 1 cup paneer (grated)
- 1 green chili (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves (chopped)
- Salt to taste
Prepare the Dough:
In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, salt, and water to form a smooth dough.
Knead well, add a little oil, and cover it. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, mix grated paneer, green chili, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
Add fresh coriander leaves and mix thoroughly.
Roll and Stuff the Paratha:
Divide the dough into equal balls. Roll out one ball into a small disc.
Place 2-3 tablespoons of paneer filling in the center.
Cover it with another rolled disc or fold the edges of the same disc to seal the filling.
Roll gently into a flat paratha.
Cook the Paratha:
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.
Place the paratha on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles appear.
Flip, apply ghee or oil, and cook both sides until golden brown.
- Storage Tip: Store leftover dough and filling separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Variation: Add grated cheese along with paneer for a richer flavor.
