Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  • Marinate the Chicken: Coat the chicken pieces in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  • Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high and set up for both direct and indirect heat zones.
  • Grill the Chicken: Place the chicken on the indirect heat side, skin side down. Cover the grill and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Finish on Direct Heat: Move the chicken to the direct heat side to sear for 5-7 minutes per side until skin is crispy and golden brown.
  • Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
