For the Filling:
- 300 gm chicken (boneless, cut into strips) or paneer
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp oil
For the Wrap:
- 4 parathas (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp green chutney or mayonnaise
- Fresh coriander for garnish
- Butter for brushing
Marinate the Chicken/Panner:
In a mixing bowl, add chicken (or paneer), yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Cook the Filling:
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated chicken (or paneer) and cook for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked and slightly charred.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Assemble the Rolls:
Place a paratha on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of green chutney or mayonnaise.
Add a portion of the cooked chicken (or paneer), followed by sliced onions and bell pepper.
Garnish with fresh coriander and roll the paratha tightly to form the Kathi Roll.
- Variation: You can add boiled eggs or grated cheese for a richer flavor.
- Storage: Store leftover filling in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat before using.
