Ingredients
  

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Water (as needed)
  • 1 tbsp oil

For the Filling:

  • 200 gm paneer or chicken (cubed)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

For the Assembly:

  • Chutney or sauce of choice
  • Pickled onions (optional)
  • Fresh coriander (chopped)
  • Oil or ghee (for cooking)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

  • Mix flour, salt, and water to form a smooth dough.
  • Knead well, cover, and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a bowl, marinate paneer or chicken with yogurt, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions and bell peppers. Add the marinated filling and cook until done.

Cook the Parathas:

  • Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each into a thin disc.
  • Heat a tawa, cook the parathas, and apply oil or ghee on both sides until golden brown.

Assemble the Rolls:

  • Spread chutney or sauce on each paratha.
  • Add the cooked filling, pickled onions, and coriander.
  • Roll the paratha tightly and serve hot.

Notes

  • Storage Tip: Store leftover filling in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Variation: Use eggs or vegetables for a vegetarian version.
  • Serving Suggestion: Pair with mint chutney or a spicy sauce for an extra zing.
