Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm chicken breast or thighs
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 3 tomatoes (pureed)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken:

  • In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt.
  • Add chicken pieces and coat them well. Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Grill the Chicken:

  • Preheat a grill or oven.
  • Grill the marinated chicken until slightly charred and cooked through. Set aside.

Prepare the Gravy:

  • Heat oil or butter in a saucepan.
  • Sauté onions until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add pureed tomatoes, salt, cumin, and garam masala. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Combine Chicken and Gravy:

  • Add the grilled chicken pieces to the gravy.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for 5 more minutes.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with naan or basmati rice.

Notes

  • Variation: Substitute chicken with paneer or vegetables for a vegetarian option.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently before serving.
