- 500 gm chicken breast or thighs
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 3 tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt.
Add chicken pieces and coat them well. Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Prepare the Gravy:
Heat oil or butter in a saucepan.
Sauté onions until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
Add pureed tomatoes, salt, cumin, and garam masala. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
