Mixing bowl
- 500 gm boneless chicken thighs (cut into cubes)
- 1/2 cup thick yogurt
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee (for brushing)
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Onion and bell pepper cubes (optional, for skewering)
Prepare the Marinade:
In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.
Marinate the Chicken:
Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer for deeper flavor.
Skewer and Grill:
Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers. You can alternate with onion and bell pepper cubes if desired.
Grill the kebabs on a hot grill or in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with oil or ghee, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Variation: Add more vegetables like zucchini or tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat on a grill or oven before serving.
- Serving Tip: Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or rice for a wholesome meal.
