Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread (cut into cubes)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
  • 1 green chili (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1.2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

Toast the Bread Cubes:

  • Heat a pan and dry-toast the bread cubes until lightly crisp. Set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables:

  • In the same pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds.
  • Once they splutter, add onions and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.

Add Spices and Tomatoes:

  • Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.

Mix in the Bread Cubes:

  • Add the toasted bread cubes to the pan and mix gently to coat them with the spices.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Variation: Add bell peppers or peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Storage: Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for up to a day.
  • Serving Tip: Serve with ketchup or yogurt for added taste.
