Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for ganache)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Sift flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Fold in the dry ingredients.
  • Pour the batter into the tray and spread evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Roll the sponge while warm and let it cool completely.
  • Whip heavy cream until peaks form and spread on the cooled sponge. Roll the cake again.
  • Melt chocolate chips and butter to make ganache, then spread over the cake.
  • Refrigerate before serving.

Notes

  • Roll the cake while warm to prevent cracks.
  • You can use coffee liqueur in the filling for a more decadent taste.
