- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 cup grated fresh coconut
- 3/4 cup grated jaggery
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 cup water
- Pinch of salt
Cook grated coconut and jaggery until blended.
Boil water with salt and ghee; add rice flour and knead into a smooth dough.
Shape the dough into discs, fill with coconut mixture, and seal into Modak shapes.
Steam for 10-12 minutes or fry for a crispy variation.
