Equipment

  • Frying pan
  • Molding rings (optional for shaping ramen patties)
  • Spatula
  • Pot for boiling ramen

Ingredients

  • 2 packs of ramen noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • 500g ground beef or chicken
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • Scallions and sesame seeds for garnish
  • Teriyaki or hoisin sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  • Prepare the ramen buns: Boil the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and mix with 1 beaten egg. Divide the noodles into 4 portions and shape into patties. Press down with a molding ring for consistency. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the ramen buns: Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a little oil. Fry the ramen patties until golden and crispy on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Set aside.
  • Prepare the burger patties: In a bowl, mix the ground beef or chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal-sized patties.
  • Cook the burger patties: In the same pan, cook the burger patties over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
  • Assemble the burgers: Place a ramen patty as the base, top with lettuce, the burger patty, cheese (optional), and scallions. Drizzle with teriyaki or hoisin sauce, then top with another ramen patty.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can swap beef for chicken or plant-based patties for a vegetarian option.
  • Add a fried egg on top for an extra layer of flavor.
