Tawa or griddle
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup fresh methi leaves (chopped)
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 green chili (chopped)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, chopped methi leaves, cumin seeds, green chili, turmeric powder, and salt.
Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
Drizzle oil over the dough and knead again. Cover and rest for 15 minutes.
Cook the Parathas:
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.
Place a rolled paratha on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
Brush with ghee or oil and flip until golden brown spots appear.
- Variation: Add grated paneer or potatoes for extra flavor.
- Storage: Store leftover parathas in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
