Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup fresh methi leaves (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 green chili (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, chopped methi leaves, cumin seeds, green chili, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
  • Drizzle oil over the dough and knead again. Cover and rest for 15 minutes.

Roll the Parathas:

  • Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls.
  • Flatten each ball and roll it into a round paratha using a rolling pin.

Cook the Parathas:

  • Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.
  • Place a rolled paratha on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  • Brush with ghee or oil and flip until golden brown spots appear.

Serve:

  • Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or chutney.

Notes

  • Variation: Add grated paneer or potatoes for extra flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftover parathas in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Serving Tip: Serve with a side of spiced curd or mango pickle for added flavor.
