Ingredients
  

For the Crust:

  • 200g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100g melted butter

For the Cheesecake:

  • 500g cream cheese, softened
  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp rosewater
  • 6-8 Gulab Jamuns, halved or quartered

For Garnish:

  • 2-3 tbsp Gulab Jamun syrup
  • Edible rose petals (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Crust: Combine the crushed biscuits and melted butter, pressing the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Make the Cheesecake Batter: Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Fold in sour cream, cardamom, and rosewater.
  • Assemble the Cheesecake: Pour half of the batter over the crust, layer with Gulab Jamun pieces, then add the remaining batter. Smooth the top.
  • Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 50-60 minutes until the edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.
  • Chill and Serve: Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Garnish with Gulab Jamun syrup and rose petals before serving.

  • Ensure the cheesecake cools completely before chilling to avoid cracks.
  • Adjust rosewater to taste for a lighter or stronger floral note.
