- 4 cups filtered water
- 2 tbsp sugar raw or organic
- 2 tbsp water kefir grains or kombucha starter
- 1 cup fresh fruits sliced or diced
- Fresh herbs e.g., mint, basil
- 1- inch ginger optional
Dissolve sugar in water and add kefir grains or kombucha starter.
Ferment for 24-48 hours. Strain and add fruits and herbs.
Optionally ferment again for carbonation. Refrigerate and serve chilled.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
