- 4 cups water
- 1 cup milk optional
- Sweetener to taste
- Whole spices: 1 cinnamon stick 4 cardamom pods, 3 cloves, 1 star anise (optional), 1-inch ginger (sliced)

Combine tea, water, and spices in a jar; refrigerate for 12-16 hours.
Strain and sweeten to taste.
