Measuring spoons
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- ½ cup shredded cheese
- ¼ cup sour cream or guacamole
- Lime wedges (for serving)
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, making sure they're evenly coated. Let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Once done, remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
Warm the tortillas by placing them on a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side or directly over a gas flame until slightly charred.
Slice the chicken into thin strips.
To assemble, fill each tortilla with sliced chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream or guacamole.
Squeeze lime juice over the top and serve immediately.
- You can grill the chicken for extra smoky flavor.
- Swap sour cream for Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
- Add jalapeños or hot sauce for an extra kick!
