Ingredients
  

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 head of lettuce (butter or iceberg)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground chicken, cook until browned and slightly crispy.
  • Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce, then add water chestnuts.
  • Cook for another 3-5 minutes, until the flavors meld.
  • Remove from heat, and stir in chopped green onions.
  • Wash and separate lettuce leaves, pat them dry.
  • Spoon the chicken mixture into lettuce leaves, wrap, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a drizzle of Sriracha or chili flakes.
  • Substitute ground turkey or tofu for a different twist.
