Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions
 

Prepare the Batter:

  • In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, cumin seeds, turmeric, and salt.
  • Slowly add water while whisking to form a smooth, lump-free batter.

Add Vegetables:

  • Mix in the chopped onions, tomatoes, and green chilies.

Heat the Pan:

  • Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat and grease it lightly with oil.

Cook the Chilla:

  • Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it thin like a pancake.
  • Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip and cook the other side until golden brown.

Serve Hot:

  • Serve the Besan Chilla with green chutney or yogurt.
